Captain America Shield and Suit, 2016

No Captain America cosplay is complete without the iconic shield. The shield was made using a Flexible Flyer Steel Saucer Sled that I bought on Amazon. I cut off the fat rim and stripped the original paint. The sled was then painted using Dupli color automotive spray paint giving it that iconic red, silver, and blue. A star was cut out of sheet metal and glued onto the middle blue circle using J-B Weld. I made arm straps using black leather belts, looping them through D-Rings, and J-B welding those into place on the inside of the shield. After the shield was finished, it was sprayed with a clear coat to protect the paint. This shield complements my Captain America cosplay perfectly.
