Ghostbusters (1984) Proton Pack, 2018

The Proton Pack is arguably one of the most iconic movie props of all time and when I decided to make a film-accurate Ghostbusters cosplay, the Proton Pack was a must. The Proton Pack and Neutrona Wand are mainly constructed out of cardboard with other details made from EVA Foam, PVC, plastic Romex boxes, and anything I could find lying around. I painted the Pack flat black and weathered it by dry brushing chrome silver paint over certain areas. Labels were made by first searching for them on Google and then printing them onto sticker paper, they were then cut out and applied to the Pack. I used cheap jump ropes for the vinyl hosing and incorporated lights in the Pack and Wand. The Pack is attached to a cardboard motherboard with a PVC Pipe frame and backpack straps were threaded and glued in place. The Proton Pack complements my Ghostbusters cosplay greatly.
