1:87 scale (HO scale) double-track engine shed, 2023

This beauty was a school assignment for the class Advanced Studio- Sculpture. The assignment instructions were to make an artwork out of wood, I chose to make a 1:87 scale (HO scale) double-track engine shed. The shed is mainly built out of ¼” sanded plywood. The roof shingles were made from card stock. Popsicle sticks were used to add detail to the inside of the shed. Coffee stir sticks and thin wooden dowels were used to make the guttering system. Balsa wood was used for the window latus and other small details and clear plastic was used for the window. Certainly, a beautiful model.
